Animate SVG infinite rotate and spin

I'd like to animate a triangle (which will be an SVG) like the enclosed but using GSAP. 

 

 

I'm sure this is possible but hoping someone might give me some pointers as to how to do this?

I didn't study the exact motion for all that long, but this might be a good start

keep in mind elements inside an SVG can't have 3D transforms applied.
