Why does this countdown animation cause flickering on some iphones?

Hi everyone,

I'm using this countdown animation () on my site. Generally it seem to work fine, but for some devices (for instance iphone 12 pro max, version 15.6) it causes whole page to flicker.

 

Any idea what's causing that, and what would be the remedy?

This is using a really old version of GSAP (tweenMax) Here's the migration guide to v3
 

 

The flicker could be down to 3D transforms? I'm not certain how IOS safari handles them. But I suggest updating to the latest version of GSAP and then checking again.
