I'm not exactly sure what you are asking or if you are referring to the html5 <canvas> element or using that term in a more general sense

 

It would really help to see a bit of context for your code.

In simple terms, yes you can query the position of objects that you are tweening.

If you are animating with css transforms (x and y) the target of the tween has a .gs_transform object that stores those values.
