Getting percentage complete of tween

Warning: Please note

This thread was started before GSAP 3 was released. Some information, especially the syntax, may be out of date for GSAP 3. Please see the GSAP 3 migration guide and release notes for more information about how to update the code to GSAP 3's syntax.

Is there a way to easily get the percentage complete of a tween on an object?

Absolutely.

var tween = TweenLite.to(...);
//then later...
tween.progress(); //a value between 0 and 1 indicating the progress of the iteration
//if there are repeats and you want to OVERALL progress of the entire group of repeats:
tween.totalProgress();

That same code works for TweenMax, TimelineLite or TimelineMax instances too.

Here is an example animating the tween.progress() of a tween like Jack advised above for percentages, using an onUpdate callback
