Ease of use feature: Apply an easing function to a timeline

Go to solution Solved by Carl,

Warning: Please note

This thread was started before GSAP 3 was released. Some information, especially the syntax, may be out of date for GSAP 3. Please see the GSAP 3 migration guide and release notes for more information about how to update the code to GSAP 3's syntax.

AFAIK, the only way to apply an easing function to a timeline is to tween the .progress() of that timeline. It's great that this works but it would be really handy to have direct support to specify an easing function to a timeline. Not sure how involved that feature would be.

Thanks for the suggestion.

In addition to tweening the progress(), TimelineMax has: TimelineMax.tweenFrom() / tweenFromTo(), tweenTo(), which basically do the same thing.

We are very hesitant to add features to the API that can easily be achieved in other ways, especially when the functionality is more of an edge-case.

I didn't know that I can use tweenTo to do this. Thanks for the info.
