Draggable Z-Index Increments on Each Drag

Perhaps a hopefully silly question, but is there a parameter which will prevent the z-index from incrementing each time an object is dragged?  I suppose decrementing it onDragEnd would be an approach, but it seems wonky.

Sure, all you need to do is set zIndexBoost to false It's in the docs: http://greensock.com/docs/#/HTML5/GSAP/Utils/Draggable/(the list of special properties). 

Draggable.create("#yourID", {zIndexBoost:false, ... });
