Hey there, gsap novice here I have a simple fade-in animation on my site. However, the first time the animation loads, the whole site janks and the animation doesn't look good. All subsequent times look extremely smooth. I've tried to recreate it in a codepen, however, there the code seems to work flawlessly. I have no other scrollTrigger or gsap animation on any of the here targeted elements. Did anybody already have that problem and see a solution? Thanks in advance!

Hi - I am trying to troubleshoot some animation stuttering in an app we built. I decided to include GSAP jQuery plugin to see if it would make a difference, but I'm not sure it's even being utilized over jQuery's native animate. How do I know? I include the library: <script src="script/vendor/TweenMax/TweenMax.min.js"></script> <script src="script/vendor/jquery/jquery.gsap.min.js"></script> Then here's a typical animation call: $(obj).stop().animate({ rgb: 127 }, { duration: 2000, easing: (Constants.CUSTOM_EASE ? Constants.EASE : "easeOutQuart"), step: function() { var rgb = ~~ obj.rgb; self.drawArrow(rgb * 65536 + rgb * 256 + rgb); } }); As far as judging performance, is there a good, definitive way to see which is operating faster? I have Chrome Dev Tools FPS counter open, but both platforms seem to operate mostly at 60fps in the counter, with the occasional (severe) dropoff - which is what I'm trying to solve for.

visitmexico.bvkdev1.com When the cover image (SVG clip path) is tweened to reveal the next cover image, sometimes there will be jank. This is especially true on high-res devices. On normal-res devices the jank is far less noticable, but still poses a problem. What can I do to reduce jank when tweening image over image? My assumption is there is not much more that can be done, as I'm already making the top layer render as its own layer in the GPU via 3D CSS acceleration, and the items that are tweening over one another are made up of complex image data. Most sites I see that make it to awwwards have solid colors tween over their content before tweening in another image or content section. Can what I'm doing be done with consistent 60fps? If so, what am I not doing? Thank you in advance for any insight. visitmexico.bvkdev1.com

I'm trying to achieve 60FPS in my UI. I'm using an x,y Draggable, but cannot currently get a jank-free experience with Draggable which makes me so sad because otherwise I love this tool (and even joined the club). See the chrome profile timeline below. How can we fix this?
