  1. Hi, I'm trying to sync a Timeline with a video, but the only reliable solution seems to be ontimeupdate, which only fires every half second or so Is there decent solution to this? Thanks
  2. Hi, I am trying to create a banner with timeline animation and a background html5 video. I am trying to keep the video in sync with the timeline, which is also working pretty well in the codepen example. That being unless you switch to another tab or scroll down on a page so the banner is out of sight, then it seems the animation is pause while the video continues to play and therefore gets out of sync. So what is the best practice here? to always keep them in sync? Can I listen for when the timeline is in pause mode and then pause the video, or can the timeline pauses
  3. I have a wallpaper made out of two iframes, a leaderbord with 728x90 and a skyscraper 160x600, so called hockeystick. both iframes are synced via sessionstorage, so the animation runs smoothley across both frames. i animate with greensock anim library. When i scoll down the page, the leaderbord scrolls out of view, the skyscraper is sticky and remains in view. the skyscraper keeps animating, but when i scroll back to top, the leaderbord obviously has stopped the animation when it left the view and now proceeds the animation as if the browser has "frozen" the frame as long as it is out of view
  4. Hi I posted on the forum a few days ago with a problem about synchronizing audio/ video with animation and scrub bars. That issue has been solved and the codepen is here: http://codepen.io/dipscom/pen/rryZaQ Thanks a lot for that, it was a great help. Now I am trying to place my tweens on a timeline at exact points and it isn't working correctly. I have audio, animation and scrub bars all synchronized and working correctly but I want to put tweens at specific points in the timeline so the animation matches the music or narration correctly. I have tried absolute positioning
  5. Hi I recently joined and have read some very helpful posts and have got an audio file playing in synchronization with a timeline. What I need specifically is audio with a scrub bar being synchronized with a series of animations which have their own scrub bar. In the code I have put together I have the audio playing and the animations running for the duration of the sound file and I have a scrub bar for the audio and animation which are synchronized together. The problem I have is that the animations are not moving smoothly but are shaking back and forth. I think this is to do with
  6. Hi! I'm today trying to get something, but i'm failed. I did own javascript animation platform, that can do part of thing of GSAP! But i need "In-Sync" tweening, basic users don't need that, but for sliders, tab-changed, Timeline GSAP script is best working. Missing some feature i need. TweenMax.to('#element', 1, { width : 200, height : 200, x : 100, ease : { width : 'QuadInOut', height : 'ExpoInOut' }}); // these syntax is for example, maybe have wrong syntax, sorry I can create this plug-in (pls let me read useful docs for creating plugin) and have already? It's reduces memory, CPU and
  7. I am using pan/zoom to zoom/pan to an element in an svg, which works great the first time. Then after dragging it, it will not position correctly again. To pan/zoom I tween the viewBox using values from the element's getBBox(). Is it possible to sync the draggable plugin with the tween library when tweening the viewBox? Would it help to create a child svg, and tween that and drag the parent svg? I have tried many ideas from the forum, including clear(), onUpdate.
  8. I load a swf file in my application, and the swf have some tweens (TweenMax). The problem happens when I play and stop the object, like this: var swfloader:SWFLoader = SWFLoaderObject; //SWFLoaderObject is my swf loaded var tweens:Array = tweenMaxClass.getAllTweens(); for each(var tween:* in tweens) { tween.seek(0); //0 is example } swfloader.rawContent.gotoAndPlay(0); //0 is example The objects are out of sync, and can not correctly resume animations, either by stress processor or other problem.
  9. I have two videos of identical length that I need to play in sync. Occasionally they do loop in sync but are most often offset by some small amount. Unfortunately this is very noticeable in my application. example: video1.addEventListener(VideoLoader.VIDEO_COMPLETE, function():void { video1.gotoVideoTime(0, true); video2.gotoVideoTime(0, true); }); Any suggestions, please?
  10. Not a problem, but I wondering why the following happens. I recreated a cockpit instrument environment and the tweens are updating the cockpit instruments towards the next array index value (currentSpeed, currentAlt, etc) every 0.5 second. Each instrument has its own array where to update from. The really strange thing is (which caused me sync problems before) that the speed and altitude array index is updated twice as fast as the others. However the instruments keep synced somehow.....? I'm tracing in the actionscript now only Speed, Alt and N11. How is that possible since all tween
