  1. @Jack I kindly disagree, a lot of us here are old Flash heads who have either done screensavers or fielded other non typical animation/code requests, I have hope.
  2. I posted this in the banner forum when I meant to post here: Does anyone here know of any reliable way of converting web animation to an .scr? This is a general code question, but I think the GSAP forum will have the right cross section of people who could answer this. I have local web files with complex vector animation using GSAP. My client wants to leverage this work for screensavers, I could make a video but I'd prefer to keep it scalable vectors. I know how to make .swf files into screensavers but I'm not looking to rebuild this (I know I can use GSAP in Animate but this is not the path I'm going). I've done some internet research but, half are dead links, and half are tutorials about loading live web pages into a screensaver. Thanks!
  3. Rough ease in my mind still makes sense even if it’s consistently incremental or decremental.
  4. Hey Jack so I was working on an animation where there is condensation on a can and drips would slowly be moving downwards because if gravity. Typically that kind of motion is erratic but always in one direction, (in this case, down), never back tracking. I was looking for a shortcut to this.
  5. Thanks for the input @ZachSaucier, I'm probably just going to go the custom ease route.
  6. Is there any way to apply RoughEase where the values only continue on a positive trajectory? When I use the ease visualizer any graph I build will have drops into the negative (Dropbox screenshot), before rising again.
  7. I figured it out, I had to update Animate CC 1 whole .1 version, fixed everything.
  8. Yeah if this were just pure code I'd have no issues. I'm posting regarding GSAP in Animate CC, is there any 'watch out' that I'm missing here?
  9. I'm wanting to tween the x position of a movieclip on the root timeline and while that root clip is tweening I'm wanting to tween the x position of a movieclip nested inside that main movieclip. However I can't get the nested clip to tween at the same time. If I comment out the root mc tween, the nested tween works. There are no timeline tweens and all the clips live on 1 frame. Is there anything obvious that I'm missing here that would break the nested tween? Here's a snippet of code that lives in the root, it's not wrapped in a function: t.to(this.scene_front, 4.5, {x:"-=220"}); t.to(this.scene_front.fox_walking, 3.5, {x:"+=200"});
  10. I had a pretty steep downturn in mid-2017 to mid-2018 where I was doing 1 banner campaign per quarter and switched gears to focus on After Effects and social content. After that year my banner work has come back to make up 40-50% of my work, that's held pretty steady. I notice a trend where tech/product companies have embraced banners and are really doing nice, aesthetic pieces. I do find institutional knowledge is being lost in other departments - creative, producers, account. I have to do a lot more hand holding to sell through or produce a banner. I am a semi producer these days int hat regard. Surprisingly too I don't get asked to do much programmatic or responsive, I mean responsive takes as much time to execute as making 4 separate sizes anyway.
  11. Does anyone on this forum have experience building banners for Criteo? I'm getting incomplete answers from their account team but one restriction is - 'No third-party (outside Criteo Servers) JavaScript is called.' and I can't get an answer if there is a Criteo hosted CDN for Greensock. If anyone out there has experience working with this vendor, please lmk if you're aware of Greensock being hosted on their servers.
  12. Hi all I'm positing on behalf of a producer friend who I have worked with on numerous projects. She works for the creative department of a major tech/hardware company that has ongoing need for an HTML5 banner dev. While I don't have details on budget you should be able to request a rate commensurate for a tech company in a metro area. Note: The job is on site, Playa Vista area. Please email me at matt.severin@motionmixtape.com and I will put you in touch.
  13. Yeah I realize I could do this but it seems like a lot for something that should be easy. Also in my case, it's a vector rectangle.
  14. I'm having a hard time finding the solution to this online. How does one tween width in Animate CC using GSAP? I can get scaleX to work, but I want something more precise.
  15. @Marlon Yeah it's best practice to use at least 2x resolution images if you can fit them, also, tinyPNG is a life saver. @ryanrabon Nice work on that GoPro piece
