  1. HI mk1 Could you put your question into a simplified CodePen for us please? I know when you look at your own code it all makes perfect sense how everything is supposed to work, but when we're asked to look at it with fresh eyes it can be a bit difficult to troubleshoot. That's one reason we ask for a CodePen with all questions. The other reason is that we're able to fork your work, make changes and show you an edited solution. It doesn't have to be your active site. Just enough to demonstrate the problem. If you can recreate the issue with a few divs and a few dots, we should be able to help you. For more info about creating a CodePen please see Carl's blog post. https://greensock.com/forums/topic/9002-read-this-first-how-to-create-a-codepen-demo/ Thanks and happy tweening.
  2. Hi rykerrumsey I think this thread can help you: https://greensock.com/forums/topic/13717-infinitly-repeating-tween-stops-timeline/ Happy tweening.
  3. Blake - I had a feeling you'd stop by and drop some knowledge here. I'm thinking maybe we enact a Beetlejuice rule for you. If you're mentioned three times in a thread, you magically appear.
  4. Hi mikemhz Welcome to the GreenSock forums. It sounds like you may be looking for the hitTest() method. Here's a GreenSock demo: http://codepen.io/GreenSock/pen/GFBvn/ More info in the docs: https://greensock.com/docs/#/HTML5/GSAP/Utils/Draggable/hitTest/ Hopefully that helps a little bit. Happy tweening.
  5. These two by Diaco are quite nice. http://codepen.io/MAW/pen/XmozON http://codepen.io/MAW/pen/yYradO Happy tweening.
  6. Hi mk1 Welcome to the GreenSock forums. If you want to only play a section of a timeline, I think you're looking for the tweenFromTo() method. https://greensock.com/docs/#/HTML5/Animation/TimelineMax/tweenFromTo/ Here's a pen I made for another forum question, but it demonstrates the technique of playing between labels. http://codepen.io/PointC/pen/EKZjpo/ Hopefully that helps a bit. Happy tweening and welcome aboard.
  7. Hey Eric You're seeing the expected behavior there with your from() tween. What's happening is you're triggering the tween multiple times with your scroll listener. A from() tween immediately renders so you're rendering it at the the new size but then triggering again, but this time the start size and end size are now the same. Just as a simple example: say you have a div that is 100px wide set via your CSS. You trigger a tween to size it down from() 200px. Immediately upon the trigger event it will be set to 200px wide and then animate down to 100px. If you trigger it again before the animation has even started, the tween will overwrite itself and its new starting size is 200px so it appears that no animation is occurring because the start and end size are now the same. It is animating just from 200px to 200px. One way to fix it would be to move your tween outside of your function and play() it with your scroll trigger. Here's a fork of your pen with that solution: http://codepen.io/PointC/pen/QGewOq/ I switched your scale tween to a background color tween just because it's easier to see what's happening. For more info about from(): https://greensock.com/docs/#/HTML5/GSAP/TweenMax/from/ Hopefully that makes sense and helps a bit. Happy tweening.
  8. Thanks for sharing dalisoft. It looks good. Yes - Club GreenSock is wonderful investment that pays for itself quickly. For anyone unfamiliar with all the benefits, please check out the Club page. https://greensock.com/club/ Happy tweening.
  9. Hi Khalleo Welcome to the GreenSock forums. Using a stroke on text like that is probably not going to give you the results you'd like. I'm assuming you're going for a handwriting effect? We've had a couple discussions about it. In some cases it may be better to use a mask. Here are a couple threads that I think can help: http://greensock.com/forums/topic/14977-drawsvg-help/ http://greensock.com/forums/topic/15251-svg-handwriting-animation-doesnt-render-correctly-on-edge/ If you have additional questions, could you please create a CodePen for us? You can check out Carl's blog post to find out more: http://greensock.com/forums/topic/9002-read-this-first-how-to-create-a-codepen-demo/ Happy tweening and welcome aboard.
  10. Hey again ericshew I think we're all looking for that magic bullet workflow made of shiny stainless steel and a few clicks. My own reality is a workflow made of cardboard and held together with duct tape and twine. I think you're just asking for some general guidance and maybe some links for a more efficient workflow? Since you're using WordPress, this thread comes to mind and may be helpful. http://greensock.com/forums/topic/14037-problems-integrating-animated-svg-in-wordpress/ Blake has some info about injecting SVGs here: http://greensock.com/forums/topic/11187-accessing-svg-paths-in-external-file/?p=59586 Adobe has certainly improved the SVG export from Illustrator, but they have a long way to go IMHO. With their monopoly I'm not too hopeful for rapid improvements. You may like another designer's process, but I think in reality we all have to develop a workflow that is best for us. It's really going to depend on what you're creating and what you're comfortable with. You'll undoubtedly discover certain methods and processes are faster and easier for you. Speed and efficiency will come with time. The only rock solid part of my workflow is GSAP. The rest is the wild west of SVGs, Adobe, browser bugs and 10 gazillion devices in consumers hands. Probably not the exact answer you wanted, but others may jump in with additional links and advice. Happy tweeening.
  11. Hi CFMDeveloper IE is always a lot of fun isn't it? We've had some discussions about transforms in IE11 and I think this thread could help you: http://greensock.com/forums/topic/13428-3d-transform-on-ie11/ Happy tweening.
  12. That's why Carl wears the cape. He swoops in with the correct answer and disappears before anyone knows he was here You simply hear the rustle of the cape and a whoosh of air.
  13. Happy to help. That's how we roll in the GreenSock neighborhood. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any additional problems or questions. If it's something beyond a basic question, a simplified CodePen demo is great so we can edit your live code and get you the best assistance. If you haven't seen Carl's blog post about CodePen yet, please take a look at your convenience. http://greensock.com/forums/topic/9002-read-this-first-how-to-create-a-codepen-demo/ Thanks again for joining Club GreenSock - we're happy to have you with us. Have fun with your new tweening powers.
  14. Hi cleveradvertising I'm not quite sure I understand your question. Are you asking if GSAP includes icons or are you asking how to make those animations with GSAP? The animations in that CodePen are currently made with CSS, but would be fairly easy to do with GSAP. I'd recommend forking that demo and trying to recreate the CSS animation with GSAP. We'd be able to help if you get stuck. If I've completely misunderstood your question, could you please give a few more details? Thanks and happy tweening.
  15. Hi ericshew Welcome to the forums and thank you for being a Club GreenSock member. The easiest way to fix that little flash is to set the visibility of your element(s) to hidden in your CSS (or set the opacity to 0 is fine too) and then before you start animating anything you can use GSAP to make them visible again. Like this: TweenMax.set(yourElement, {autoAlpha:1}); autoAlpha is a combo of opacity and visibility so you're basically making everything visible right before your animation tweens and/or timelines start. That should fix the flash for you. Hopefully that helps. Happy tweening and welcome aboard.
  16. Hi timawork Welcome to the forums. You've got a whole lot of code to look through there, but it looks like your problem is related to ScrollMagic rather than GSAP. We do try to keep our support focused on GSAP here. You may want to look into Petr Tichy's site (one of our forum moderators) as he has quite a bit of training related to ScrollMagic. https://ihatetomatoes.net/blog/ https://ihatetomatoe...th-scrollmagic/ https://ihatetomatoe...agic-workshop/ If you encounter a problem or question that is directly related to GSAP, we are more than happy to help you. We ask that you please provide a simplified CodePen with any requests for assistance. Please review Carl's blog post for information about creating one. http://greensock.com/forums/topic/9002-read-this-first-how-to-create-a-codepen-demo/ Thanks and happy tweening.
  17. Hi coenhallie Welcome to the GreenSock forums. I struggled with your question as well. Checking your site in Firefox seems like it may be working correctly, but in Chrome I'm seeing console errors. I know replicating the WordPress environment in a CodePen can be problematic, but we really need to see something simplified to offer the best assistance. Maybe fork Carl's pen and work from that to achieve your desired result? Thanks and happy tweening.
  18. Nice work Tahir. We haven't seen you around lately - good to see you back again.
  19. I'm sure Carl will see this and I wonder if he may have a few people in mind since he's in NYC. I imagine there are some talented people around that may not jump on the forum on a regular basis. Good luck in your search.
  20. Great stuff Carl. I saw Chris mention this a few days ago and then totally forgot to take a look at it. Thanks for the links. That looks quite handy.
  21. Hi one2gov I'm no email expert, but I don't think that would work. I know advances are being made in what we can put into an email, but I also think essentially pushing web pages through inboxes is going to create potential security problems. That being said, I was recently reading an article on A List Apart about this very topic. You may find it helpful. http://alistapart.com/article/the-coming-revolution-in-email-design Happy tweening.
  22. I've said it many times before and I'll say it again. What a world it would be if other companies responded to requests and bugs as well as GreenSock. A small bug is reported and literally fixed the same day. Amazing!
  23. Yes - I'll 2nd that. Congratulations on the Moderator Badge. You have been crushing it on the forum lately - well deserved good sir. I can only assume you're on a 24 hour IV drip of caffeine.
