Tween div within div

Hi!

 

Is it not possible to tween (move) a div within another div? I can't get this to work. Color-changing or opacity tweens ok...

 

I am really new to this, and I have a dynamic number of divs that I wnat to put inside a "managing" div. Then I want to move this divs one by one.

Please help!

If you want to tween position, you'll need to make sure the tween target elements have the style position: relative or position: absolute. The default is position: static, which doesn't respond to the top/left/bottom/right properties.

Jamie is right on, and you could also just animate "x" and/or "y" properties which affect CSS transforms which don't rely on the position being absolute or relative. In fact, in most cases, you'll get even smoother results by animating transforms (x and y) rather than top/left.
