Grow and Colorize on hover

Its possible, but not a good idea.

Only Chrome supports a reliable way of tweening the grayscale aspect via the css property: -webkit-filter:grayscale(.5);

I imagine with <canvas> you could find a way that is more cross-browser friendly.
