Deployments failing due to econnrefused

Yesterday i deployed a build of a site thats been in production for almost a year and all was well.

Today I added a link to the menu and upon deployment i get this error

error An unexpected error occurred: "https://npm.greensock.com/@gsap%2fshockingly: connect ECONNREFUSED 104.131.8.206:443"

I havent changed anything, subscription still active, can't see any reason my commit could have caused this either.

Is this something gsap side that needs resolving? I'm currently blocked as a result.

I also get this error locally if i try to reinstall dependencies

I'd really appreciate some help, thanks

@GreenSock

I am experiencing similar challenges. In my case, it is not a problem locally and only occurs in CI with GitHub Actions. I use @gsap/business, so I don't use gsap-bonus.tgz, but have it installed with a token in the .npmrc file.
The following error occurred.

Run npm install
npm ERR! code ECONNREFUSED
npm ERR! syscall connect
npm ERR! errno ECONNREFUSED
npm ERR! FetchError: request to https://npm.greensock.com/@gsap%2fbusiness/-/business-3.11.3.tgz failed, reason: connect ECONNREFUSED 104. 131.8.206:443

I also tried regenerating a new token, but the error with CI remained the same. It works fine locally.

So sorry to hear about the trouble, @mattpilott and @STUDIO SPOON. I've reached out to our private repo expert, @Prasanna who runs PrivJS and hopefully he can provide some insight soon.

In the meantime, you can certainly go to your account dashboard and download the zip file. In the "npm-install-this" folder, you'll find a gsap-bonus.tgz file. Drop that into your project directory, and then you can run npm install ./gsap-bonus.tgz and it should install it just like it was coming from the repo (but it's using that local file instead). Or of course you can use the raw files from the download. Lots of options. I realize it's not ideal if you have the private repo working with your setup (sorry!)...rest assured that Prasanna will do his best to resolve that or provide some suggestions as soon as he can.

Hello everybody, I am sorry that you faced an issue. Our services went offline intermittently today as we experienced a DDOS attack on our systems. There's nothing to worry as our service actively fended off the attacks, but couldn't serve few users for a short while. We have increased our server capacity in order to prevent such scenarios in the future. My apologies for the inconvenience

Hi @alpine and welcome to the GreenSock forums!

First thanks for being a Club GreenSock member and supporting GreenSock! 💚

Sorry about the issues. What service you're trying to deploy to (Netlify, Vercel, AWS, Digital Ocean, etc.) and what particular framework are you using (React,  Vue, Next, Nuxt, SvelteKit, etc.)?

We need a bit more information to know what could be the issue. I just ran a couple of deploys of a Next app in Vercel and Netlify without any errors. Here is the repo just in case:

https://github.com/rhernandog/next-gsap-bonus-yarn

Happy Tweening!

Hi,

Do you have an environment variable in your setup that matches the configuration in your .npmrc file?

always-auth=true
registry=https://npm.greensock.com
@gsap:registry=https://npm.greensock.com
//npm.greensock.com/:_authToken=${NPM_TOKEN}

Also you might want to check this article:

Hopefully this helps.

Happy Tweening!
