Share Posted January 28 Hey! I was looking into the scrollSmoother plugin for my client. And I came across a strange behavior in the codePen, which is present in the documentation. When the window is resized, the page scroll position jumps to the top and smoothly scrolls to the current position. Looks like a bug? Or did I not understand something? Here is a video demo Link to the documentation, where this codepen See the Pen KKXZOyZ by GreenSock (@GreenSock) on CodePen
Share Posted January 28 Hi @coolDev and welcome to the GreenSock forums! That's indeed the expected behaviour. Unfortunately I don't know all the ins and outs of this process so I can't explain it to you. But it seems that ScrollSmoother is storing the ScrollTrigger progress and then re-applying it when the window resize is completed. Please stand by for a more official and complete explanation. Happy Tweening!
Solution Solution Share Posted January 29 Sorry about any confusion there - I believe it was a regression in ScrollTrigger 3.11.4 which should be resolved in the next release which you can preview at https://assets.codepen.io/16327/ScrollTrigger.min.js See the Pen KKXZOyZ?editors=0110 by GreenSock (@GreenSock) on CodePen Better? Author Share Posted January 29 Wow! @Rodrigo, @GreenSock, thanks for the quick response! I am pleasantly surprised! @GreenSock, your codePen looks perfect. It works great. I would be very grateful if you could give an approximate release date for 3.11.5. I understand that it is difficult to give an exact date. But I need to discuss the project timeline with the client. One more question... Am I correct in assuming that my client needs the "ShockinglyGreen" plan for $149 per year to use ScrollSmoother?

You don't need to wait. 9 hours ago, coolDev said: Am I correct in assuming that my client needs the "ShockinglyGreen" plan for $149 per year to use ScrollSmoother? Yes, exactly. And if it's used in a site/product/app for which a fee is collected from MULTIPLE users, that'd require the special commercial license that comes with "Business Green" memberships. 👍 Hopefully you'll find that the membership more than pays for itself very quickly. Good luck with the project, @coolDev!
