Why does this work in 3.4.0 and not 3.9.1?

Hey all, recently tried out GSAP. I was troubleshooting this issue for over an hour: it would work in the codepen but not on local. Finally went it and saw the codepen was on 3.4.0 and not 3.9.1. I switched it out and now it works. I don't know enough about GSAP yet to understand why. I'd like to use the newest version if possible but this code just doesn't work on 3.9.1? Oddly it would work if I used gsap.to() instead of gsap.from().

 

The codepen is currently on 3.9.1 so you can see it doesn't work.

There's a known regression in 3.9.1 that has already been fixed in the upcoming release Sorry about any confusion there.
