Carousel not trigger rest of animations

Hello everyone,

 

I have an animation that once completes the background image and the foreground image need to change when a user click the carousel number/button, however what seems to happen is the carousel changes but retriggers the entire animation, how can one stop this and just change the images?

here is a demo of the carousel, what I would like to do is use the carousel js I have already as a timeline option if possible?  under `fiftyFiftyCarousel`.
