NPM Build Error

Recommended Posts

Hi,

There are some fixes that I need for my site in BETA, which I assume is 3.7

However, Netlify isn't building them but I suspect this is because Codepen have a CSP in place.

Is there another URL I can use?

5:39:27 PM: npm ERR! 403 403 Forbidden - GET https://assets.codepen.io/16327/gsap-beta.tgz

Hey @ferriss,

Yep, you're right there, sorry about this.
I assumed you were using bonus plugins - my mistake!

We're aiming to release on Tuesday but if that's too late maybe @GreenSock can help in the interim?

Sorry, I have no idea how Netlify does things or why it wouldn't get the .tgz file. Have you asked them what might be going on? I just don't know what else I can do on my end other than give you the files (as I've done with that .tgz link). Got any other suggestions @ferriss

Is this not to do with the fact that it's a codepen link then?

I'm not sure why it'd be related to what domain is serving the file. Keep in mind that this has nothing to do with the "CodePen-only" bonus plugins - this is simply a .tgz file with the public files (no bonus ones). There are no protections in place that'd redirect the browser or anything like that, at least not in the GreenSock stuff. I can't speak for what CodePen does on their end but I'd assume it'd just serve the file just like any other file. 🤷‍♂️

My guess is that CodePen is limiting what sites can requests assets from their servers.

Ah! Yeah, that's what was confusing me
