This feature wasn't in the initial few releases which is why I asked if you were using the latest version. You confirmed you're using 3.5.1 which is exactly what's being used in my demo CodePen, so I suspect Zach is right about it being some kind of setup issue on your end. A minimal demo will help confirm that.
xoxoxoxo
I've created a minimal codesandbox You can see it logs on refresh.
GreenSock
Sorry about the confusion there - I totally forgot that this was something that was implemented in the upcoming release which is why it was working great for me in my local dev environment, but not for you in 3.5.1. You can test the upcoming release preview here: https://assets.codepen.io/16327/ScrollTrigger.min.js
xoxoxoxo
Ouch! When are you planning to release the new version on npm?
xoxoxoxo
The docs mentions that this was added in version 3.3.4 which can be misleading?
GreenSock
There isn't a set date, but we're working on a brand new plugin that goes with this release, so once that's ready we'll be pushing things out. Hopefully within a few weeks. If you need the ES Module of ScrollTrigger before then, I don't mind shooting that over to you.

Yes, the config() method itself was added then, but initially it was only for the limitCallbacks functionality. We added the autoRefreshEvents in this upcoming release. I dropped that one piece into the docs prematurely I guess. Sorry about the confusion. It's something almost nobody has needed in practical use.
xoxoxoxo
Yes, can you please send over the ES Module of the upcoming ScrollTrigger?
Solution GreenSock Posted November 19, 2020 Solution Share Posted November 19, 2020 No problem. Here's a .tgz file that you can npm install: https://assets.codepen.io/16327/gsap-beta.tgz Let me know if that works well for you. 👍
