gsap.effects and scrolltrigger/splittext

Hi guys, 

 

First post here, to be complete i'll give you some framing. I'm a ux/ui designer hence i don't have a lot of hardcore experience with JS and i struggle with basic structures way too long. I've created quite some independent effects and just read about the gsap.effects method. Doh! I see some great and clear examples here but how to go about with effects that involve scrolltirgger and splittext ?

Hey kevp and welcome to the GreenSock forums. 

 

To add ScrollTriggers you simply need to include the ScrollTrigger code in the tween or timeline that you return to use it with effects:

To do SplitText stuff it's similar but may need to change the methodology a little depending on the particular effect that you want to create. If you'd like our help debugging your issues please make a minimal demo using CodePen:
