tkent_dna
I have created a 3D rendering of a tennis ball using Adobe Illustrator CC, based on the Illustrator "3D Revolve" feature and applying the tennis ball seams as a symbol. I know that I could animate the tennis ball rotating (spinning) using an "expensive" frame-by-frame animation approach by using numerous SVG images of the ball at different angles and looping through the display of the different SVG images. Does GSAP have features that will simplify the animation of a rotating tennis ball (or any sphere that has a pattern applied to it)?
PointC
Sounds like you may want to look at something like three.js. https://threejs.org/ GSAP plays very nicely with that library too.
tkent_dna
Thanks, Craig! I'll research three.js to learn more about it.
