I stumbled upon this neat little detail at the bottom of https://www.vaersaagod.no/en/about and would like to replicate it. I've never worked with GSAP before so looking for some guidance. If anyone can tell me how to achieve something like this, it would be very appreciated 🙏🏼

Hey Frederik and welcome to the GreenSock forums.

 

This sort of thing is perfect for GSAP's Physics2DPlugin. Just replace the dots in the demo with emojis (or pictures of emojis)

Since I was about to say the same and give a link to the v3 Docs for this (😉), I noticed, that the demo in the docs is not running properly (at least on my end) , @ZachSaucier

I'm guessing you're using Chrome? For some reason GSDevTools errors for me in Chrome in certain circumstances. I thought it was just a local issue. Try commenting out lines 27-30: does that get it to run?

Not Chrome - but still Chromium - Opera actually.

Yup, you're right. Without GSDevTools it's running.

 

The demo in the link you provided, however, runs as intended - with or without GSDevTools. 🤔

I updated the docs to use the more colorful demo as it is more modern and should be used instead. But this will help us figure out where Chromium has issues with GSDevTools.
