Hi.

First time posting. Found this awesome page yesterday, that hopefully lets me get this carousal menu behaviour.

Example is here: https://youtu.be/7JdJg4TSa-8?t=1s to 0:04 seconds and app where it is currently used, here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.avidionmedia.iGunHD&hl=et

I got something similar done with this : http://theta-carousel.com/carousel-example.html#example=parabola1,

but it is laggy in Android and jumps around, not even closely as smooth, as the gun game example.

Can someone tell me, if it is possible to do that and if yes, then how difficult would it be?

Basically, it's a list of html elements that you can scroll like a carousal, just like in the examples.

Thanks in advance,

Janno.

Hi @jannom, welcome to the forums!

It is possible and it's not that terribly difficult. There are several threads on the many ways how to create a carousel in the forums here. You'll just need to get yourself acquainted with the techniques.

From the forums search: https://greensock.com/forums/search/?q=3d carousel

Here's one thread where the discussion ends up with a 3D one:

Been looking around and testing things, but as a newcomer, everything is quite difficult.

Anyway, this plugin that i found was developed using GreenSock, https://blog.gannon.tv/2014/07/28/edgecarousel-a-totally-sweet-3d-carousel-template-for-edge-animate/, but it is no longer available.

I am sure, it is Somewhere :).

Can anyone help me with that (finding it, getting the source code, where to buy it)?

Yes, it can be quite difficult, specially if you are starting.

A question, though: Are writing the code yourself or are you using Adobe Animate?

If you are writing the code yourself, there's another use taking the same steps as you, maybe you can share experiences:

If you are using Adobe Animate, maybe the best place to check is either at the banners section of the forums (there's a few there who use Animate) or checking Adobe's own tutorials and forums.

I am writing the code myself.

I don't know anything about Adobe Animate or what I could do with it.

It should be a carousel menu that you can click on and so on and it needs to work as webpage(on webpage and phones browsers). Don't know, if Adobe Animate is even an option here.

I asked because you linked to a Adobe Edge plugin... So, I wasn't sure what tools you were using to create your carousel.

Since you are coding the carousel yourself, well, I've linked to a working example and @Jonathan has embedded two extra examples. You can fork them, take them apart and adapt for your needs.

If you have any issues understanding how they are working, just ask. We'll be more than happy to explain things in more detail.

Happy tweening!
