Just paste the url and whammo! it's there. I wanted to celebrate this feature with Craig's awesome SVG Wars

I'm kind of surprised nobody posted a reply on this thread. Embedding pens is a fantastic new feature!! Great work Jack and Carl. I'm sure the upgraded forum was a lot of work and a bit nerve-raking during the transfer process, but I think it was worth it.

Congratulations on the upgrade and all the slick new features! 8-)

PS Thanks for using my SVG Wars pen in the post @Carl. May the morph be with you.

Ok, I've been struggling with this for the past couple of days. What url are we talking about here? The embed one or the Pen's url?

Everyone seem to be able to just drop one at any time and I don't. :|

@Dipscom It's just the URL of the pen. No embed code needed.

Once you paste the link into the post, it should grab it and turn it into the demo.

If that's the case I am being unfairly handicapped as it does not happen to me. Of all my attempts, only one has worked.

What are you getting instead? Just a regular link?

Yeah. It shows an little error message saying "something went wrong, try again". Even with another half a dozen tries, it still does not show.
