Hi one2gov  :)

I'm no email expert, but I don't think that would work. I know advances are being made in what we can put into an email, but I also think essentially pushing web pages through inboxes is going to create potential security problems.

That being said, I was recently reading an article on A List Apart about this very topic. You may find it helpful.

Happy tweening.

To follow up on what PointC has already said.

The sad truth is no. It is not possible. All email clients will strip most of your code away to different degrees and that's talking about CSS. JavaScript is still a big NO-NO in email land. Some email clients won't even show an animated GIF.

If you must have animation, the only way to have a guaranteed delivery is to have it hosted somewhere else outside the email then, send the link to it. Which, in a way is not great because it really just looks like a phishing scam.

The best compromise is a gif of your GSAP SVG animation.

Chris Gannon created SVG2GIF for this very purpose.

Checkout some results:

FWIW Twitter takes gifs you upload and converts them to mp4 but the above started out as gifs.

You just tell SVG2GIF what timeline it should monitor and it records it perfectly and spits out a gif

var mainTl = new TimelineMax({repeat:0, SVG2GIF:true});
