convert string to the ease type

I am loading some variables in through XML. One of them is ease type ie: Expo.easeOut

 

Since its a string in the XML, its not working when I put the XML node where the ease is supposed to go. I tried typing it to an object but that didnt work.

Have you tried using the EaseLookUp.as class? This might work:

import com.greensock.easing.EaseLookup;
TweenLite.to(mc, 1, {x:100, ease:EaseLookup.find("Expo.easeOut")});
