I am just starting to experiment with DrawSVG.  I find that some paths that are created in illustrator and then when the code is copied to my HTML doc that the animation does not work in firefox.  it works it all other browsers.  does anybody else have this same problem?

Hi Lauren Johnson :),

I'm not sure what you mean by 'not working', but there have been some discussions about some Firefox bugs:

Here's one thread:

http://greensock.com/forums/topic/11064-drawsvg-does-not-fully-draw-path-in-ff/

That thread may help, but if you'd create a CodePen so everyone could see your code in action, that would get you the best answers.

Check this out: http://greensock.com/forums/topic/9002-read-this-first-how-to-create-a-codepen-demo/

Happy tweening :)

HI there PointC and thanks for the advice.

I just discovered that if you are creating your paths in illustrator that Firefox doesn't like if you use the "convert anchor point tool"  If you draw a path without using that tool, my animation works across all browsers.

Interesting.

If you have a couple free minutes, I'd still recommend making a CodePen so others can see the bug. Maybe there's an easy answer - maybe not.

Either way, it could help anyone else coming across the same problem. :)

Edit: PS Jonathan is the forum expert on Firefox. I'm sure he'll read this and probably have some additional info as well.

Hello Lauren Johnson, and Welcome to the GreenSock forum!

You could try using this online SVG clean up tool: https://jakearchibald.github.io/svgomg/

It is good at cleaning SVG code created from illustrator. Most of the time Illustrator creates dirt SVG code, so Firefox might throw its poopy pants face.

Also I would second PointC's suggestion about creating a codepen demo example! This way we can see your code in context and in a live environment. Since debugging specific browser behavior is better when we can see it in action.

Thanks :)
