How to get running timeline on html elements and kill them.

I have an existing timeline running that I no longer have the JS reference to the timeline for.

 

I want to completely stop the timeline animation so I can add a new timeline to the same set of html elements.

 

TweenMax.killTweensOf(objects) does nothing.

 

How is this done?

Perhaps your "objects" reference was wrong? Tough to tell without a demo. Is it an array? A selector string? Can you please post a reduced test case codepen or jsfiddle that shows it not working properly? That'd really help.
