Jump on changing position absolute to relative

Is there a way to make a smooth transition when changing from position absolute to position relative. You can see the jump in the demo.

My best suggestion is to rework your code so that everything begins with position:relative.

absolute and relative have drastically different behaviors and I think the only way you are going to smooth-out the change is if you do quite a few calculations so that you can tween to the end position (2nd tween in that loop) while absolute and then immediately set to relative with new values when the tween ends. My gut tells me it will be messy and complicated.
