Controlling a chained SVG animation

Warning: Please note

This thread was started before GSAP 3 was released. Some information, especially the syntax, may be out of date for GSAP 3. Please see the GSAP 3 migration guide and release notes for more information about how to update the code to GSAP 3's syntax.

I have an svg animation (created with Blender). It is a chained animation that loops (repeatCount="indefinite"). I want it to play once and stop.

Since it is a frame animation, setting to each  animate tag's repeatCount="1" leaves the previous displayed.

Can I use GSAP to send an endElement()? Is there a good way control the playback?

here is a link to the svg: http://www.prime37.com/images/u1.svg
