  1. Hello guys, I'm totally new to JS. Trying to learn and improve. I'm trying to build a minimap and move an object that represents player movements on the map. You'll see 2 things in the code. One is a straight line the other one is a map. I was only able to find animated movements. So When the user wants to move the object on the straight line with the mouse, also this movement has to be reflected for the object on the map too. I just want to be able to move that point with the mouse. How can i do it? Best Regards
  2. Hi, I'm new to GSAP and I'm trying to find a way to create an interactive map using a JPG image as the basemap and canvas and GSAP for the animation. I came across several examples on the GSAP website and a live project online that looks exactly like what I'm intending: http://rainforest.arkivert.no/#kart Can you tell me how is this done, or if there are any documentation/tutorial/workshop materials that I can go through. Please advice. Thanks in advance, Hagop
  3. I am trying to create a minimap for a little game. First i started creating a full map in SVG, and then animated the player icon alongside the path. But is it possible to reverse the behaviour, so that the player icon stays, and the path itself, is animating, moving and rotating anchored to the player icon? Just like the image below. Any help is highly appreciated. current code: motionPath = MorphSVGPlugin.pathDataToBezier('#motion-path', {align:'#player-dot'}); TweenLite.set('#player-dot', {xPercent:-50, yPercent:-50}); tl.to('#player-dot', 2, { bezier:{values:motionPath, type:'cubic'}, ease: Power0.easeNone });
  4. HI there, I am looking for a greensock freelancer to help create a svg map with animation wrapped in a react component to pass highlighted locations on the map down to it. Think a 2d version of this for inspiration: http://launchit.shanemielke.com/ Any recommendations of people that would be interested also would be highly appreciated. Thanks, Lukas
  5. I'm looking for some ideas to use a large (2000x1000) world map inside of a small container (1024 x 768). I set the wrapper as the "bounds" and this worked great in Chrome, but I noticed that Firefox didn't like this and had weird bounds behavior (basically tries to force the map inside the smaller wrapper, but fails). I think Firefox doesn't like that the world map is bigger than something it's supposed to be bound inside of. What I need is sort of like bounds, but not exactly. I need it to disallow dragging the map edges "within" the parent wrapper. That way I can pan all over the map without showing any "dead space" inside of the container. Any ideas?
  6. Hello everyone, I've just started learning GSAP and jQuery today with the help of ihatetomatoes and this excellent forum. I'm trying to make a hover-able floor plan map that displays information on the currently-hovered room. So far in my proof-of-concept, I have implemented this using TweenMax's hover and TextPlugin. I just have a question about implementing the rest of the map. Instead of individually making a separate function for each block, is there a more elegant way to implement an array so that when you hover over a shape, it changes hoverText to an assigned message? I also plan to have buttons to switch between floors of the building, but I'm assuming that won't affect how the array should be constructed. Thank you very much for the help, and apologies if there's unnecessary fluff in my codepen.

    World map using Raphael plugin

    Hello, I would like to use the JS Raphael plugin to make a world map like this one, made for the original Raphael plugin. http://raphaeljs.com/world/ How would I do that? Thanks! Zach
