  2. Done,

    I think they are moving it inside the platform now based on this question.

    Do you have access to CM360/DV360/Google Ads in order to rely on the in-product upload messaging for creative validation? *

    The functionality will exist in Campaign Manager 360 / Display & Video 360 i work for Google Partners. i will post here if it gets deprecated as to how it works inside the Google Marketing Platform. If you can request a user role (login) for creative  validation from media agencies ect.

    For Google Ads i guess you will validate by direct input and Adwords is free to set up that makes things easier.

    This is not helpful to everyone as most creative develops don't have access to the tech stack, media agencies and brands do.

    with gsap3?

    No i checked the GSAP2 ads were approved and the guy managing the Adwords removed all the GSAP3 versions. Will have to use GSAP2 until someone confirms Google have updated the new version of GSAP3.

    You'r right Bradley.

    Here's a part of an answer from Google Ads team:

    The ad is using gsap 3.0.1

    Yes it is this line causing it (below). I can remove the local SlitText line but i can remove the CDN i wonder if GSAP remove this line it will pass in Google Ads? Is this trying to get an external file hence causing 4th party call error?

    //# sourceMappingURL=gsap.min.js.map

     //# sourceMappingURL=SplitText.min.js.map

    Screen Shot 2020-03-02 at 6.00.04 pm.png

  6. Hey guys i am having the exact same problem on Google Ads it's rejected saying the ad has invalid fourth party call. I have reached out and having the ads manually reviewed.

    I noticed in Chrome Dev Tools that is says DevTools failed to parse SourceMap: this happens on GSAP3 and SplitText not sure if this is related but the warning didn't show up on GSAP 2 in the past.

    So my ad is only loading GSAP 3 and Google fonts nothing else so no reason it should be rejected and the ad does validate in Google Ads Validation tool.

    Here is a link to the ad that is being rejected.

    https://storage.googleapis.com/digital.bradleylancaster.com/SKYMESH/CAMPAIGN_ONE/full_set_v1/set_one/300x250/index.html

    So i might have to revert back to GSAP 2 rewrite some code to get these published.

    Will reply here with the outcome.

  7. @GreenSockNo SVG Omg is a great tool that was a tip on easier to read smaller svg's. I was pointing out that these types of errors happen as part of my workflow. Editing SVG's updating text copying svgs from banner to banner as svg code can be so long and you work to tight deadlines these errors can happen. When I get the malformed error these are the things to lookout for when you are scanning your code by eye. Sometimes I run the banner through the w3c HTML validator to find these errors quickly. I have never had a banner rejected for using inline SVG only when the SVG has a HTML5 error.

  8. Hey guys, i have this problem come up from time time.

    If an SVG has:

    Double ID's.

    <path id="house"></path>

    <path id="house"></path>

    Double Classes on the same element.

    <path id="house" class="scale" class="scale"></path>

    Non closing tags are common on long svgs sometimes.

    <svg>

    <g>

      <path id="house"></path>

    </svg>

    <svg>

    Duplicate Tags are common on long svgs sometimes.

    <g>

      <path id="house"></path>

    </g>

    </g>

    It is  best to export for screens or use SVG Omg for cleaner lighter SVG's.

  9. Hi Jack,

    Thanks for getting back to me on this.

    I have attached a file here for you to have a look at if you have time. It does use a combination of png's and svg's and some canvas particles. I removed the bubbles for them but they still came back with CPU issues so i don't think it is related to the bubbles.

    I sent another version removing the will-change property but still they said it's a high CPU load.

    I use SVG's normally and haven't had this issue before but it is all dependant on the Publisher  and how they test things.

    Cheers,

    Brad

  10. Hey guys,

    So i have encountered some feedback from a publisher that the HTML5 banners i created were using to much CPU.

    I don't have a way to check this properly i looked in Chrome Dev tools and can only see GPU there.

    Activity monitor was only 8% but they were saying it comes in @ 60% which i find hard to believe.

    I can't upload them here yet as the campaign hasn't launched but i will soon.

    Do you guys have a set of tools/programs you use specifically for CPU performance.

    They are using https://advalidation.com we are getting pricing on this but i would prefer a free or cheap method.

    Cheers,

    Brad

    These are all so awesome!  Thanks for sharing.  I can share a couple. The ones I am most excited about (of course) have yet to hit market so are still secret.

    Raid Foaming Wasp Spray.

    Lots of art. File size was challenging.  All the foam was created by manipulating one small replicated foam graphic which had different textures on each side.  By changing size and rotating/flipping the one piece we were able to get a whole frame of foam for a very small file size hit.

    Spinning NFL/PEPSI cup for Buffalo Wild Wings

    Use of step ease to flip through spinning cup sprite sheet.

    No explanation needed LOL

    These are all really cool and unique great work!

  12. @Marlon Using Svg's for custom text, logos, graphics reduces file size and will always look crisp. This allowed you to bump up the quality of raster images. I also use Tinypng plugin for photoshop to reduce any png's and use Photoshop's save for web.

    Some Ads i have created recently had a specification of under 40kb.  These Battery World ads are 100% SVG and came in around 32kb compressed.

  13. Hey everyone,

    I noticed that in Display and Video 360, Celtra Miniscrollers , XYZ playground demos, (check links) are all supporting parallax scrolling style banners using their own api, i noticed a big update to the Scrollmagic codebase a few days ago on Github and it's very recent with a lot of bug fixes. I think it would be really cool to start adding these affects to banners using GSAP and Scrollmagic combined.

    Has anyone had issues using Scrollmagic with publisher issues or in general or could post some examples here?

    Old prototype on Google.

    You'll probably actually want:

    var url = 'https://www.example.com/?zip=';
    var zip = "12345";
    Enabler.exitOverride('zipCodeExit', url + zip );

    or

    var zip = "12345";
    Enabler.exitQueryString('zipcodeExit', zip)

    The second would mean you still have the opportunity to edit the URL from the ad-server.

    Thanks @joe_midi :-)

    This is true, i found the documentation and you should be using Enabler.exitOverride() or Enabler.exitQueryString().

  15. So i have found a solution with the help of Google and this is possible here is the answer from the Google team to help anyone needed a solution to a similar problem.

    Hi Bradley,

    I hope you're well today and you are now connected with Creative Ads Support team.

    I see that you want to know if it is possible to setup a different landing page URL into your creative then when a user inputs zipcode in the creative then click to exit, it will open the landing page with the inputed zipcode appended to the link. I would like to inform you that it is possible in the Studio for this creative.

    1. Basically, you will need to setup the destination Urls into the feed and the feed will be imported to the profile in order to generate a dynamic code. That generated code will be use for you to implement dynamic to your creative. for example, your row one value is below:

    2. Then in the creative, you will have to create a variable for you to combine or append the zipcode. .

    var zipcodeUrl = dynamicContent.TestFeed[0].zipUrl.Url + zipcode.txt;

    3. Then add an enabler exit method into your click function to pull the destination url with appended zipcode.

    Enabler.exit("ZipCode Click", zipcodeUrl)

    Let us say that the user inputed a zipcode 3004 then the output should be like this:

    You can check the article below for more information.

    I hope this information helps!

  16. Hi everyone.

    I have a question regarding creating custom Clicktags on banners ads. Sizmek, DoubleClick, Flashtalking.

    Creating Clicktags that change within the banners is easy enough to do in javascript.

    The questions is that i know Clicktags are updated in the Ad-sever backend and overide the Clicktag within the banner.

    We want to pass Get www.clicktageurl.com?customcontent=4001 for example,  in our banners based on user input or interactions so that will be passed to the Clicktag.

    Is there a way to make it that Clicktags are hardcoded in the banner. The media agency can they just leave it blank so it doesn't overide what we do.

    I don't have Google Campaign Manager or other accounts to test this.

    Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Brad
