Is it possible to have a <span> or other inline element with a hard line break (<br> element) break correctly inside a SplitText element? For example, to have "ipsum" and "dolar" break correctly in my Codepen. I thought this was the answer, but the nestedLinesSplit function there didn't do the job.

Yes. There is a guide to generating your own docset and there are various scripts such as Dashing that could make it relatively painless.

I've done an initial investigation of turning the offline docs into a Dash docset, and I think it would be very difficult with the compiled React app. Would you consider releasing the raw docs as a Github repo?
